There is always this fear of being judged.
That's part of being human. We all want to be accepted.
I had been sending the Forty Rules of Love one rule a day to my mom.
Today on Rule #18 did she opened up.
She said, "Hope u are well my love."
Finally, she said she loves me. After 57 years.
This is the turning point:
We always thought that our mother is the source of the greatest love. Well, what if she didn't get that love from her mother? What if her mother didn't get it from her mother? How do we break the vicious cycle?
It has to start with us. For things to change we must change first.
We need to be the fountain of overflowing love. Then only like the reflection we see in the water, love with reflect back to us.
This may be the beginning of a new relationship with my 81 years old mom. It's still not too late to heal a broken heart.
