Here is my thinking. Where we are heading is not a question of choice. The key indicators are the 10 billion population mark and the 2050 Earth Watch.
How do we solve the Plastic Ocean issue?
How do we solve the issue of plastic, period?
We can't. Everything around us is about polymer. We are making the planet sick with our plastic waste.
Do we deserve a second chance?
Everybody deserves a second chance.
In 1999 I fought a battle with plastic. I simply can't win,
The only solution is to build rockets to send our plastic waste to the sun.
How silly is that?
If you think that is silly, then imagine how silly it is to get rid of all the plastics we consumed.
Toxic chemicals leach out of plastic and are found in the blood and tissue of nearly all of us. Exposure to them is linked to cancers, birth defects, impaired immunity, endocrine disruption, and other ailments.
The other thing to consider is to stop using plastic. That is even harder to imagine.
